PCC helps property owner with Olympian task

Officials announced this month the repurposing of the former international headquarters of Forever 21 in Lincoln Heights. PCC is proud to have provided multiple land-use services for the property owner to help this transaction occur, including the filing and approval of a lot-line adjustment, permitting to ensure zoning compliance, and managing the Certificate of Compliance process to legalize a nonconforming setback.

One of the new tenants is LA28, the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games which open in July 2028. LA28 is leasing a 667,000-square-foot flex office building, one of the three buildings onsite.

Amazon, the giant online retailer, purchased the other two buildings on the former clothing retailer’s campus. Both buildings are warehouses greater than 225,000-square-feet each.

Forever 21 was an American fast-fashion retailer founded in Los Angeles in 1984. By 2015, it had grown to over 800 stores internationally with sales of $4.4 billion. Unfortunately, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2019 and then again in 2025.
